break, but the prices are too high. Consider going to Orlando during the
first three weeks of May.
Today, when we checked vacation packages departing on May 11, and returning
May 15, 2010 we found unbelievable package rates at a 4-star Orlando hotel
including airfare.
We are finding rates in March and April to be higher due to the cold snap across
the country, people across America are packing up and flying out to Florida to
try to warm up their buns. As you can see from the chart below you could save
yourself a bundle by traveling just a few weeks later. You will see big savings
for couples, and even more for a family of four.
When we compared peak spring break travel during March 23 thru March 27, we were
finding prices 78% higher then if you were to wait two weeks and travel May 11
thru May 15, 2010. Being flexible could save you up to $960 for a family of
four. Travel is valid thru May 25, 2010, after May 25 fares increase
dramatically due to Memorial Day weekend celebrations.
Better yet, travel after spring break not only will you save a ton of money, you
will get to avoid the big crowds and long lines at all the theme parks!
